Junji Kondo was born in 1980 in Tokyo. In 2006, his work was selected for inclusion in the 3rd Seison Maeda Memorial, held in Gifu Prefecture, and in 2007, he held a solo exhibition at Artspace Eumeria in Tokyo. He graduated from the painting department at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008. In 2009, he participated in the exhibition, Sangoku G, held at the KEPCO Plaza Gallery in Seoul, Korea and Sunshine Museum in Beijing, China. He completed his master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2010. In 2011, he held a solo exhibition, L’espoir, at Ginza Suruga-dai Gallery in Tokyo, and another solo exhibition, -Dusk till Dawn-, at the Seibu Department Stores in Fukui and Ikebukuro. In 2013, he participated in the exhibition, Zig Zag, held at Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design in Germany. In 2015, he received honorable mention for his work in the 3rd Ohka-sho, Annual Sakura Exhibition held at Sato Sakura Art Museum in Tokyo. He is currently an art lecturer at National Defense Medical College.
